THE WAY SHE GROWS
Kara Murphy doesn’t believe in what she can’t see, which makes living with her grandmother more than a little awkward. Gran thinks plants are magic, thanking the daisies for good weather and ferns for smooth skin. It’s enough to drive a 16 year old girl mad.
After Gran leaves on a motorcycle tour of Ireland to visit old boyfriends, Kara quickly learns that the garden is more than it seems. When the plants start dying, Kara’s talent, charisma and good looks slip away, begging the question, how much of herself was plant-powered?
Gran may have written the book on magic, but Kara is making it up as she goes. While she struggles to untangle her Irish roots, a dark evil is ready to kill Kara and everyone she holds dear. And the worst part? Prom is just around the corner.
